The title "scientist" is a mis-label -- they are mere "Sarkari Babus". The only science they are doing is the political science -- of helping rich biotech companies to promote their business interests in India.
They get paid for their incompetence by their political bosses and for loyalty by the MNCs.

Unfortunately, the distorted American model of allowing big companies to interfere in govt's decisions through lobbying (buying politicians and bureaucrat) is becoming a reality in India. The rich and big companies get loop-holes coded in the policies for their business interests and of course policies are meant for the ordinary folks.

But for the people like you, other activists and NGO across the world, the farming community will be highjacked by the special interest groups and a few mega companies. What is needed is to make people aware of the game the biotech companies are playing under the garb of modernizing agriculture.

There is also a need to start a drive against the agriculture scientists who have reduced themselves to the role of "clerks and notaries" of the biotech companies.Goodpalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13376610147004431494noreply@blogger.com
