My First Blog Post on The Huffington Post

Last week The Huffington Post invited me to blog for them. Considering that The Huffington Post is a liberal American news website and perhaps the world's biggest blog, and some of the most respected names have blogged for it, including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Madonna, Norman Mailer, Robert Redford, Desmond Tutu, Al Gore and Noam Chomsky, I take it as an opportunity to carry my perspective to the world where it matters.

It had a little over 13 million unique visitors in Feb 2010.

Anyway, The Huffington Post blogs that I write would be a little different from what you see on Ground Reality. For obvious reasons I will try to bring in an international perspective catering to the global audience. You will soon be able to view my latest postings in the sidebar on Ground Reality. Please do comment and share with your friends, colleagues and also on the list serves that you subscribe to.

Here is my first blog post on The Huffington Post:

Feeding India is Becoming a Difficult Task

"Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Madonna, Norman Mailer, Robert Redford, Desmond Tutu, Al Gore and Noam Chomsky" are "respectable names"? Really? I haven't read much about Mailer and Redford. I positively dislike the others except for Madonna, who is an entertainer and not much of a writer or thinker -- respected, maybe, but not "most respected". Therefore, I think Devinder Sharma is going to be the first "name" blogging for Huffington that would be worthy of respect.

ps - I dont think you'll post this comment Mr Sharma, considering you ONLY post comments gushing about your greatness.
